Job summary

EDU Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to provide support to students in the Thornton, Colorado area. The role focuses on addressing social-emotional, behavioral, and educational needs in collaboration with students, families, teachers, and administrators.

You will advocate for students, participate in IEP/504 planning, and help connect families with community resources in a structured school setting, with regular school holidays.

Qualifications

• MSW required and state licensure/certification as School Social Worker
• Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
• Work in a structured, school-based setting with evenings, weekends, and holidays off

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and support services for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans and strategies to promote student success
• Participate in IEP and 504 planning and meetings as needed
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and administrators to support student growth and well-being
• Serve as a liaison between schools, families, and community resources
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and licensing requirements
