Job summary

Austin Industrial is hiring a Safety Tech for an on-site role in Freeport, TX. You will implement the site safety program, educate project staff on safety requirements, and ensure policy compliance on a dynamic industrial site.

Ideal candidates have at least 4 years of safety experience in maintenance/construction, plus a TWIC Card, valid Driver's License, and CSST/NCCER certification. Excellent communication and field coaching skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4 years of maintenance and construction safety experience.
• Certification/License: TWIC Card, valid Driver's License, CSST/NCCER.

Responsibilities

• Build working relationships with customer representatives, project staff, and subcontractor safety reps.
• Assist in creating accurate safety reports and accident investigation documents.
• Assist in staff safety training and subcontractor development.
• Represent the company professionally with the customer and subcontractors.
• Create and facilitate safety training and orientations aligned with project specifics and schedules.
• Participate in safety organizations outside of the company and in the assigned region.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s safety manual and policies.
• Spend most time in the field observing work, coaching, auditing, and engaging craft employee-owners.
• Help project supervision resolve safety problems and issues in the field.
• Fill in for site HSE manager during absences.
