Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking an on-site Quality Control & Safety professional to lead QC and safety efforts at client projects. You will implement the QC Plan, conduct DFOW inspections, verify conformance to specs, and maintain records.

Role requires OSHA certification, daily safety inspections, AHAs, incident investigations, and strict adherence to OSHA and EM 385-1-1 requirements, with decisive actions to stop unsafe work.

Qualifications

• OSHA certification or OSHA safety trainings required.
• On-site safety checks at client site emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the project Quality Control Plan.
• Conduct Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections for all DFOW.
• Verify materials, equipment, and workmanship meet contract specs.
• Maintain QC docs, inspection reports, deficiency logs, and tests.
• Identify and track non-conforming work; ensure corrective actions.
• Coordinate inspections and testing with subcontractors and vendors.
• Prepare daily QC reports and update project management.
• Implement and enforce the Accident Prevention Plan and Site Safety Plan.
• Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and audits.
• Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and meetings.
• Develop and review Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
• Investigate incidents and near misses, implement actions.
• Ensure OSHA, EM 385-1-1, site rules and policies compliance.
• Monitor subcontractor safety and PPE usage.
• Stop work when unsafe conditions are identified and coordinate actions.
