Job summary

Technica LLC is seeking a Safety Officer to support a Government Contract at Ft. Bliss, TX. The role requires enforcing safety regulations and performing inspections across facilities, with the ability to work long shifts in adverse conditions to meet contract deliverables.

The candidate should be a US citizen, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass a DHS background check. OSHA/NFPA knowledge and at least 5 years of safety experience are preferred, along with strong English

Qualifications

• US Citizen
• 18 years of age
• Valid state drivers license
• Must submit to pass a DHS Position of Public Trust Background Investigation
• Must be able to read and write English and understand procedures
• Must have 5 years in experience in safety and environment
• Must be able to communicate the English language effectively, both orally and written
• Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA regulations
• Ability to process and identify code violations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required

Responsibilities

• Perform safety and environmental duties on a Government Contract at Ft. Bliss, TX.
• Compile and submit weekly status reports.
• Conduct inspections of facilities and equipment for safety compliance.
• Carry out fire and safety inspections and building inspections for deficiencies.
• Ensure SOP alignment and document incident investigations.
• Inventory tools quarterly and coordinate with technicians.
• Perform fleet vehicle safety inspections monthly.
• Investigate incidents and complete proper documentation.
