Job summary

The candidate should be a US citizen, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass a DHS background check. OSHA/NFPA knowledge and at least 5 years of safety experience are preferred, along with strong English

• Ability to process and identify code violations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required

Responsibilities

• Perform safety and environmental duties on a Government Contract at Ft. Bliss, TX.
• Compile and submit weekly status reports.
• Conduct inspections of facilities and equipment for safety compliance.
• Carry out fire and safety inspections and building inspections for deficiencies.
• Ensure SOP alignment and document incident investigations.
• Inventory tools quarterly and coordinate with technicians.
• Perform fleet vehicle safety inspections monthly.
• Investigate incidents and complete proper documentation.

Technica LLC seeks to fill a Safety Officer position to perform on a Government Contract with a place of performance under Ft. Bliss, TX.

Job Description:

• Must comply with applicable federal and state laws and enforce safety regulations.
• Compile and submit weekly status reports.
• Versed in local and state OSHA safety requirements also a plus.
• Must be available to work long shifts in adverse conditions (heat, rain, nights and weekends) as required to meet contract deliverables.
• Must be able to walk, stand, sit long periods at a time.
• Complete inspection checks on work performed in all of our facilities.
• Fire and safety inspections in all facilities that we maintain.
• Building inspections for deficiencies in all of our facilities.
• Personnel tool inventory to be performed quarterly with all our technicians.
• Process auditing to ensure that processes are being kept in alignment with our SOP.
• Fleet vehicle safety inspections performed monthly to ensure all employees are safe.
• Inspections of all SAP locations.
• Ability to perform incident investigations and fill out proper documents.
