Job summary

LGL Inc. seeks a Safety Representative with industrial project experience to join our Bartow, Florida office. This full-time role focuses on safeguarding personnel, coordinating safety programs, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and MSHA standards.

You will train workers, conduct site inspections, document incidents, and collaborate with project teams to maintain a safe work environment on diverse projects across the region. Compensation is competitive and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction health and safety experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations and construction standards.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 500 certification preferred.
• Ability to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• First Aid/CPR/AED with naloxone training and working at heights training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, manage, and ensure safety on LGL projects with hazard mitigation.
• Communicate safety requirements and model a Safe Work Environment.
• Oversee safe daily field operations and respond to safety needs.
• Coach and train workers on safety policies and practices via sessions.
• Deliver daily toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings.
• Prepare Job Hazards Analyses and review Field Level Risk Assessments.
• Conduct site inspections to identify risks and ensure compliance.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks and enforce safety rules.
• Document incidents, investigate accidents, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records and ensure documentation is stored properly.
• Manage PPE stock and coordinate site signage and safety boards.
• Work rotations on remote projects and travel as required.
