Job summary

Barnhart is seeking a Project Site Safety Coordinator to lead safety for assigned project(s) across logistics, rigging, crane operations and equipment installation activities.

This temporary, project-based role requires strong leadership and a proactive approach to maintain OSHA safety standards within the defined project scope. The Site Safety Coordinator will support safety programs, monitor compliance, and drive corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety management experience in industrial construction or related environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, crane safety, and rigging operations.
• Current OSHA 30-hour certification and First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement site-specific safety plans and job hazard analyses.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, customer requirements, and OSHA regulations throughout project execution.
• Conduct daily pre-task safety meetings and toolbox talks with full participation.
• Monitor crane crews for adherence to lift plans and safe practices.
• Exercise stop-work authority for unsafe conditions and lead corrective actions.
