Job summary

Actalent is seeking an on-site Safety Lead for electrical operations on a Wisconsin data center construction project. You will promote safety culture, enforce OSHA and client requirements, and drive continuous improvement across site operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Safety (or related field), 3+ years of construction safety, and certifications (OSHA 30/10). You’ll lead JHAs/JSAs, risk assessments, and safety training in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• ,Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field required.
• 3+ years construction safety experience, preferably electrical environments.
• Experience supporting safety on data center, industrial, or solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards for construction/electrical.
• Current OSHA 30-hour certification.
• Current OSHA 10-hour certification.
• Experience leading safety training and toolbox talks.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Experience managing JHAs/JSAs and permit-to-work systems.
• Ability to influence safe practices on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site safety lead for electrical operations on a data center construction project.
• Monitor electricians and subcontractors for safe work practices and compliance.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and walkthroughs to identify hazards and verify controls.
• Enforce OSHA regulations, client safety requirements, and company policies.
• Develop and update safety plans, JHAs/JSAs, and permit systems.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses with corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, orientations, and ongoing field safety training.
• Manage risks related to LOTO, arc flash, energized work, and elevated work.
• Track safety metrics and maintain compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with management and craft teams to integrate safety into planning.
