Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time, site-based Project Safety Manager to lead the EH&S program for the Division 28 electronic security scope on a data center project in Port Washington, Wisconsin. You will own the day-to-day safety planning, hazard control, and integration with the general contractor's control-of-work system.

The role requires coordinating with project leadership, ensuring permits and PPE are in place, and leading incident investigations, with a focus on Vision Zero principles

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years EH&S experience on construction projects including electrical/energized systems.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (current).
• Knowledge of LOTO/energy control, fall protection, MEWP safety, permit-to-work systems, and JHA/RAMS planning.
• Experience integrating subcontractor safety into GC control-of-work on large projects.
• Strong incident-investigation, root-cause, and corrective-action skills.
• Proficiency with safety records and reporting tools (SharePoint logs and weekly reporting).
• Excellent communication and leadership to hold field leadership and trades accountable to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety leadership and program ownership across all buildings and work areas.
• Integrate Convergint work into GC control-of-work system with permits, planning, and morning briefings.
• Ensure daily JHA/SPA and required permits are complete before work starts.
• Coordinate with multiple trades to prevent unsafe stacking and congested areas.
• Forecast, review, and document high-risk activities and MEWP use.
• Enforce LOTO procedures, confined spaces, energized work controls, and rescue planning.
• Oversee commissioning safety controls and testing readiness across phases.
• Maintain safety records, weekly reporting, and subcontractor safety requirements.
• Provide incident reporting, investigations, and corrective-action follow-up.
• Maintain Vision Zero alignment and strong safety culture on site.
