Job summary

Destro AI is seeking a hands-on, on-site Day Shift Technician to support deployed robotic systems at a Sumner, WA facility. You will deploy, commission, test, and monitor the fleet, handle exceptions in real time, and perform preventive maintenance.

You’ll train warehouse staff and other technicians, coordinating with operations supervisors and IT. As the on-site representative, you’ll communicate status and issues to Destro AI engineering and ensure smooth handovers during peak periods.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on technical experience with robotics, automation, or electromechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting instincts across multiple layers.
• Comfortable being the on-site customer-facing face of a vendor.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and commission robotic systems on-site, including setup and configuration.
• Run testing and validation to ensure performance before go-live.
• Monitor fleet health and resolve real-time exceptions during peak hours.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and spare parts management.
• Train warehouse associates and onboard new technicians as the site grows.
• Serve as the on-site technical point of contact for operations and IT.
