Job summary

Great American Restaurants in Fairfax, VA is seeking an experienced Construction & Facilities Project Manager to lead ground-up restaurant builds and facility improvements. This on-site role supports our growing construction team with regular site visits to GAR locations.

You will own procurement, contracts, and cost control, coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, and internal stakeholders, and ensure projects meet schedule, budget, safety, and GAR brand standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years progressive construction leadership experience in hospitality, retail, or restaurant environments.
• Experience delivering projects with high-end finishes and brand-driven design.
• Deep knowledge of commercial kitchens, life safety, health codes, and MEP coordination.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, scheduling, contractor coordination, field execution, and turnover to Operations.
• Review plans, identify conflicts, and drive timely resolutions to keep projects on track.
• Negotiate and administer contracts, change orders, and closeout documentation.
• Support repairs and maintenance programs across restaurants with cost insights.
