Qualifications

• Experience underwriting residential mortgage loans under Fannie Mae guidelines.
• Strong understanding of credit documentation and underwriting file review.
• Ability to review legal documents, title reports, and insurance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze residential mortgage and HELOC applications using Fannie Mae guidelines.
• Prepare written loan presentations for Bank Loan Committee review and approval.
• Review credit reports, appraisals, and third party reports to support underwriting decisions.
• Follow up with borrowers to obtain outstanding loan conditions and required documentation.
• Clear loan files for closing and ensure conditions are satisfied.
• Ensure compliance with lending regulations and internal policies.
• Review legal documents, title reports, insurance policies, and flood certifications.
• Partner with the Chief Lending Officer and Residential Credit team to support lending activities.
• Deliver responsive and professional customer service through timely communication.
