Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Handyman/Maintenance Technician in New York, NY for a full-time role focused on daily operation, maintenance, and repairs of a residential building.

The ideal candidate will handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC tasks while upholding safety and company standards. The position requires hands-on experience with building upkeep, the ability to work independently or with a team, and strong communication with residents, staff, and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years of residential maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
• English communication skills; bilingual could be a plus depending on property needs.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, boiler systems, and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs, preventative maintenance, and daily inspections.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests and service tickets.
• Troubleshoot and complete basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, painting, plastering.
• Perform door, hardware, and fixture repairs or replacements.
• Assist with apartments turnovers and maintenance of common areas and systems.
• Coordinate with management, staff, contractors, and vendors as needed.
• Provide courteous, professional service to residents and tenants.
• Follow safety procedures and report significant maintenance issues to management.
