Job summary

Lifestyle Apartments Shreveport is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, safety, and aesthetics of our residential community in Shreveport, LA. You’ll diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance systems while providing prompt, professional service to residents and coordinating with the property management team.

Applicants should have 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a proactive, detail‑oriented

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in residential settings.
• Proficient diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances.
• EPA Certification a plus; OSHA/safety awareness is essential.
• Strong troubleshooting, proactive mindset, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication with residents, coworkers, and vendors.
• Reliable, responsive, and able to handle after-hours calls.

Responsibilities

• Work Order Fulfillment: respond to requests, prioritize safety and emergencies.
• Document work in the property management system for accountability.
• Follow-up with residents on job status and completion.
• Preventive Maintenance: inspect HVAC, plumbing, smoke detectors, and life safety systems.
• Apartment Turnovers: perform make-ready tasks and appliance checks.
• Test all systems to ensure proper operation.
• General Repairs and Grounds: drywall, doors/windows, fences; trash and landscaping.
• Inventory and Shop Organization: stock supplies and label tools.
• Vendor Oversight and Safety Compliance: assist contractors and enforce safety standards.
