LiRo-Hill seeks an experienced Resident Engineer for on-site leadership in New Jersey. You will oversee daily construction, ensure conformance with design specs, and manage safety, schedules, and budgets while coordinating with contractors, clients and regulators.

The role requires NJ PE license, NJDOT experience, and 7+ years in related supervision, with proficiency in Procore, Primavera P6, and MS Project. Strong communication and team leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• NJ Professional Engineer License Required.
• NJDOT experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in construction supervision, site engineering, or resident engineering.
• Ability to supervise staff.
• Experience on highway/bridge/rail projects.
• Working knowledge of shop drawing review, scheduling, permitting and inspection requirements.
• Independent worker with strong team contribution.
• Experience in large-scale or multi-site programs preferred.
• Familiarity with Design-Bid-Build, CM/GC, Design-Build delivery methods.
• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Strong knowledge of construction codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Act as the client’s on-site representative during construction.
• Monitor daily construction activities for quality assurance and compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards, including gathering detailed measurements.
• Coordinate with design engineers, construction contractors, inspectors, and program management staff.
• Conduct regular site inspections and lead field meetings with stakeholders.
• Review and approve contractor submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress payments.
• Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, logs, as-builts, photographs, and correspondence.
• Identify and mitigate construction-related risks or delays; escalate critical issues when necessary.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and project-specific requirements.
• Participate in project meetings and prepare status reports for senior management and client stakeholders.
• Ensure environmental, permitting, and regulatory compliance on-site.
• Contract Administration
• Work with the Project Manager and/or Billing team for invoicing and payment processing, while monitoring contract cost and schedule.
