Job summary

The Salvation Army in Reno, NV is seeking an Assistant Residence Manager to help operate the ARP, supervise staff, and support beneficiaries.

This on-site role requires a GED or better, a valid Nevada driver’s license, and at least one year of supervisory experience. Must be able to live on site five nights per week; familiarity with recovery work is preferred; strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• GED or better is required.
• 1 year supervisory experience is required.
• In recovery experience is a plus and preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to live on site a minimum of five nights per week.

Responsibilities

• Abide by all house rules and enforce them as outlined in the Beneficiary Handbook.
• Ensure the safety and security of beneficiaries while on shift; report on-call for issues.
• Implement and supervise leisure time activities.
• Coordinate duties with Residence Manager.
• Oversee front desk staff and janitorial team.
• Conduct bed and locker checks weekly.
• Prepare daily written reports including incidents.
• Attend required meetings.
