Job summary

Cobalt AI is seeking a Reserve Engineer to service and maintain our robot hardware at client sites. This on-site, 1099 contractor role is not remote and involves rapid-response field work, occasional deployments, and direct interaction with Fortune 100 and 500 clients.

You will learn our hardware inside and out, communicate with technical and non-technical teammates, and ensure hardware failures are addressed safely and promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience with hardware assembly and disassembly.
• Familiarity with computer hardware and small electrical components.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Learn robot hardware and be able to service and maintain it (training provided).
• Communicate with technical and non-technical teammates about field repairs and projects.
• Ensure hardware failures on robots are addressed and resolved safely and promptly.
• Occasionally assist with field operation projects and new robot deployments.
• Be dispatched to client sites within your area 1–3 times per month.
