Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible; pass ARRT boards within 6 months if eligible.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and plan/organize work.
• Strong, professional communication at all levels.
• Two years of experience preferred, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and review/update visits.
• Correlate patient ID and history with examination.
• Apply radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff.
• Review and evaluate images for diagnostic quality.
• Position imaging equipment and set exposure parameters.
• Safeguard and maintain imaging equipment.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort during scans.
• Enter data and document scan sequences in the system.
• Maintain patient records and treatment reports.
• Assist with lifting/positioning patients.
• Report unusual occurrences to supervisor.
• Commit to ongoing education and development.
• Maintain a cooperative attitude with patients and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
