Job summary

OSS Health in York, PA is seeking a full-time MRI technologist to perform diagnostic examinations and assist in related department functions. The role requires ARRT MRI certification and BLS, with emphasis on MRI safety and patient care.

The position offers a sign-on bonus, a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm, and opportunities for professional development within a supportive team. Candidates should be able to work independently, manage patient data, and maintain equipment, with

Qualifications

• Current MRI certification from ARRT required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Must have proficient computer skills.
• Must be able to work independently and plan and organize work.
• Venipuncture certification preferred.
• Previous experience preferred, with at least two years strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes thorough and accurate patient medical histories or reviews and updates current visits.
• Follows MRI safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations and ensure patient/staff safety.
• Correlates patient identification and clinical history with the examination.
• Reviews images to determine if they are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
• Maintains MRI equipment including coils.
• Explains procedures and observes patients for safety and comfort during scans.
• Records and documents patient data and treatment records.
• Assists with lifting and positioning patients.
• Displays a cooperative attitude with patients and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
