Job summary

Bendix Distribution Center in Huntington, Indiana is hiring for a on-site packaging/packing role. The position pays $23.42 per hour, Monday through Friday 7 AM to 3 PM with overtime opportunities. Benefits start day one and the job is located at the Bendix Distribution Center.

Employees will inspect parts, ensure paperwork, coordinate shipments, and lift boxes up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and comprehend work instructions, communications, policies, job safety analysis, etc.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
• Must be willing to participate in daily pre-work stretching program
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Truck Packing: inspect pallet/pallet boxes, ensure paperwork is included, labels applied, and shipments prepared for dispatch.
• Small Package Packing: inspect orders, label boxes, input shipment data into computers, handle boxes up to 70+ pounds.
• Maintain attendance and overtime as required.
• Operate safely in an industrial environment.
• Read and follow work instructions and safety policies.
