Job summary

$23.42/hr

Mon - Fri 7 AM - 3 PM + overtime

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position involves inspecting parts while ensuring all required paperwork and documentation are completed accurately. Employees must also ensure that shipments are properly tracked down and delivered on time. The role is fast‑paced and includes frequent lifting of parts. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Other duties as assigned. Located at BDC (Bendix Distribution Center).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Truck Packing - Employee inspects pallet/pallet box brought to pack out area in shipping by Forklift Pickers. The pallet/pallet boxes are filled with the finished goods that are picked from the three different picker positions. Once the pallet/pallet box is complete, this position makes sure all paperwork is placed with the order, and any labels are printed and applied to the pallet/pallet box. Employees carry up to 50-60 boxes/hours. Boxes vary in weight from under 5 lbs. up to 52 lbs. and are carried between 10 feet and 50 feet. Once the shipment is complete, employees cut pallet boxes to the size of the order in preparation for their shipment.
• Small Package Packin g - Employee inspects orders and labels for boxes. Employees utilize computers to input information regarding items shipped. Employees can handle up to 450-500 boxes per shift that can weigh up to 70+ pounds. Employee lifts boxes from 28-inch height to pallets on floor lifts. Boxes are generally 8-10 inches in height.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance including working overtime as required
• Must be able to safely and effectively operate in an industrial environment
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend work instructions, communications, policies, job safety analysis, etc.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
• Must be able to reason, analyze and trouble shoot issues on the job
• Must be able to work as a team member, including but not limited to resolving issues as part of a team, and get along with co-workers
• Must be able to consistently meet production, safety and quality standards
• Must be able to safely and effectively perform all functions of the job
• Must be willing to participate in daily pre-work stretching program bvil
• Must be willing to assume other duties as assigned
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as described in the standardized work instructions
• Must be able to comply with customer requirements (ex. Shipping instructions, packaging requirements, etc.)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
