Job summary

Bendix, part of the Knorr-Bremse Group, is seeking a Technician, Service- Packaging for the 2nd shift in Huntington, IN. You will ensure products are packaged safely and accurately for shipment, inspect items, label and seal, and operate packaging equipment.

Cross-trained across stations, you will lift up to 50 pounds, maintain a clean work area, and follow all safety procedures. Timely documentation and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and comprehend work instructions, communications, policies, job safety analysis, etc.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as described in the standardized work instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to work as a team member and get along with co-workers.
• Must be willing to participate in daily pre-work stretching program.
• Must be willing to assume other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products for quality and accuracy prior to packaging.
• Label, seal, and pack items according to specifications.
• Operate packaging equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
• Assist with inventory management as needed.
