Job summary

Intertek seeks a 3rd Party Vendor Surveillance Inspector to lead on-site quality checks at Houma, LA facilities. The role focuses on verification of generator enclosures, LV/MV systems, and welding integrity, with real-time digital logging via BIM360/ACC/CxAlloy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience in industrial manufacturing or heavy power sectors.
• Ability to read electrical SLDs, P&IDs, and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1, ISO 9606, or BS EN welding standards.
• Solid background in LV/MV electrical distribution and grounding.
• Proficiency with precision measurement and laser alignment tools.
• Experience logging NCRs via mobile digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Site quality inspections & deficiency tracking.
• Execute quality protocols for in-process and final inspections.
• Log non-conformances with photos in BIM360/ACC/CxAlloy.
• Collaborate with supplier quality managers to close NCRs.
• Perform enclosure and mechanical inspections to spec.
• Witness hydrostatic/pneumatic tests and ME tests.
• Audit LV/MV systems, wiring, grounding and control sequences.
• Inspect welding and perform NDT defect reviews.
• Oversee FOD checks and shipping sign-off before dispatch.
