Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Third Party Vendor Surveillance Inspector to act as on-site representative in Lexington, VA. You will ensure chillers meet structural, mechanical and electrical specs before shipment, using ACC software and checklist processes.

The role is temporary, full-time (40 hrs/week) for 6 months with potential extension; candidates need 5+ years vendor inspection experience and strong drawing interpretation skills. Intertek values safety and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in third-party vendor inspection, expediting or auditing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Welding/Brazing/Soldering standards and defect identification.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, P&IDs, specs and drawings.
• 5+ years experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace or related industries.
• Understanding of AWS, ISO 9001 standards or certification.
• HVAC experience and proficiency with mobile checklists.

Responsibilities

• Site Quality Inspections: Document compliance to in-process and final checks using ACC software.
• Defect Logging: Record non-conformances with photos and drive supplier accountability.
• Foster Collaborative Environment: Partner with supplier to ensure equipment meets specs.
