• Knowledge of Welding/Brazing/Soldering standards; ability to visually identify defects.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, P&IDs, specifications and design drawings.
• 5+ years in Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial or similar industries.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 / AWS standards; or ISO 9001 Certification.
• Understanding of Quality Systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
• HVAC experience.
• Comfortable using mobile devices to complete checklists.

What are we looking for?

The Third Party Vendor Surveillance Inspector acts as our on-site representative and quality support within the main supplier’s facility and the DCQ Team. The inspector is responsible for executing the comprehensive inspection criteria outlined in the ACC Checklists. This role guarantees that all chillers meet structural, mechanical and electrical requirements before shipping.

Shift/Schedule:Temporary, Full Time job working at least 40 hours per week for a 6 month project. Extension is possible.

Location: Lexington, VA

What you’ll do:

• Site Quality Inspections: Document compliance to in-process and final inspection checks in accordance with checklist in ACC software
• Defect Logging: Document any non-conformances in ACC with photos to drive accountability with suppliers to address them timely
• Foster Collaborative Environment: Partner with supplier to ensure the equipment is manufactured in compliance with specifications

• High School Diploma or GED,Trade School, On-The-Job Training or University Diploma
• 5+ years of third-party vendor inspection, expediting or auditing experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of Welding/Brazing/Soldering standards with an ability to visually identify defects
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, P&IDs, specificationsand design drawings
• 5+ Experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial or comparable industries
• Understanding of AWS standards; ISO 9001 Standards; or ISO 9001 Certification
• Understanding of Quality Systems and methodologies for continuous improvement
• HVAC experience
• Comfortable using mobile device (tablet or laptop) to complete checklists

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

• ISO 9001 Auditor, AWS standards; Structural Experience; HVAC experience; Manufacturing
