Job summary

The NYS Department of Labor is seeking an on-site QA Tester to support the UI Job Assist Tool (JAT) project in Albany. The Senior Tester will perform functional, integration, API, microservice, AI-tool, and MCP validation to ensure reliable data exchange between the UI system of record and an AI-enabled Job Assist Tool.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on testing experience, including REST APIs, Java-based applications, and SQL data validation, with familiarity in Agile delivery and test

Qualifications

60 months of functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing experience.
36 months of REST APIs and microservices testing experience.
36 months Java-based enterprise app testing and SQL data validation.
12 months of AI-enabled applications validation.
12 months of MCP server/tool validation.
24 months API testing tools usage (Postman, SoapUI, JMeter).
24 months experience writing test plans, test cases, and agile test execution summaries.

Responsibilities

Perform functional, integration, API, microservice, AI-tool, and MCP validation for JAT integration.
Ensure reliable and secure read/write data exchange between the core UI system of record and AI-enabled tools.
