Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Purchasing Specialist to support manufacturing operations through purchasing, strategic sourcing, supplier management, inventory control, and materials planning.

You will manage procurement for raw materials, engineered components, production supplies, and outside services, coordinate with production and engineering teams, optimize supplier performance, and maintain ERP/MRP data to ensure materials arrive when needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in purchasing/procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Infor XA experience strongly preferred.
• Negotiate pricing, manage supplier performance, and expedite orders.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing and procurement for raw materials, components, consumables, MRO, and outside services.
• Review MRP requirements and production schedules to determine purchasing needs.
• Prepare and process POs, request quotes, negotiate lead times, and select suppliers.
• Develop supplier relationships and monitor performance; resolve delays and quality issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers to set delivery schedules and expedite critical orders.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock availability to support production.
• Maintain ERP/MRP records and support manufacturing schedules and shop orders.
• Analyze data to identify cost savings, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Track KPIs such as On-Time Delivery and inventory levels; support supplier scorecards.
• Assist with supplier qualification and corrective actions as needed.
