Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for our Maricopa, AZ community. This on-site role supports daily operations, rent collection, leasing activities, and resident communications to ensure satisfaction and continuity.

You will collaborate with the Community Property Manager, vendors, and maintenance teams, handling move-ins/move-outs and financial documentation while maintaining accurate files and enforcing compliance.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in property management or leasing in residential settings.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; CAM/CALP is a plus.
• Working knowledge of property operations, leasing practices, and Fair Housing laws.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and property management software such as Yardi.

Responsibilities

• Support daily on-site operations and resident services with organized office workflows.
• Address resident inquiries promptly with professionalism and courtesy.
• Process rent payments, late notices, and support rent collection.
• Assist leasing and renewal processes, prepare documents, and coordinate tours.
• Coordinate move-ins/outs, unit inspections, and readiness checks.
• Submit and track invoices; support budget adherence and financial records.
• Communicate with vendors, process service requests, and close work orders.
• Serve as on-site lead when Community Property Manager is absent.
• Maintain compliant resident files and ledgers.
