Job summary

The Community Builders, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician II to join our in-house maintenance team in Minnesota.

You will respond to service requests, perform interior/exterior repairs, and keep common areas clean and safe while working closely with the Service Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. Requirements include a high school diploma or trade training, 3+ years hands-on repair experience across multiple trades, a valid driver's license, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; trade school or 3 years of progressive responsibility preferred.
• REAC/HQS experience preferred; industry certifications (NAHMS/CAMT/OSHA/HVAC) preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; knowledge of Federal Fair Housing Laws is a plus.
• Strong problem solving, time management and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, masonry, painting, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Respond to service requests and on-call emergencies in a timely, professional manner.
• Monitor preventive maintenance for building systems and schedule vendors as needed.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-ins and maintain grounds and common spaces.
• Assist with REAC/HQS inspections and maintain safety with PPE.
• Provide guidance to Maintenance Tech I and support weekend/on-call duties.
