Job summary

Burbank Housing Management Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to organize and supervise routine and major maintenance across multiple properties in California. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and directing field staff, while ensuring adherence to company standards and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of residential maintenance experience, strong supervisory and communication skills, and a valid California driver’s license.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years’ experience in residential maintenance or a similar trade.
• Ability to read, interpret and complete work orders.
• Ability to supervise staff and report maintenance needs to management.
• Valid California driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision, organization and scheduling of Maintenance Technicians and Trainees.
• Monitor work orders, unit turns and maintenance issues with Site Management.
• Review and approve time sheets and manage vacation/absences.
• Attend meetings with Facilities Manager and Property Management staff.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings and train staff on procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage parts/inventory.
• Respond to off-hour emergencies as needed.
• Provide performance feedback and participate in staff recruitment.
