Job summary

Kittle Property Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support on-site operations at an apartment community in Kalamazoo. The role includes processing applications, showing units, and assisting with leasing and maintenance staff.

Responsibilities also cover rent collection, compliance, marketing, and resident relations, with opportunities to learn and grow within the property management team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak and interpret basic instructions and simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math and interpret graphs.

Responsibilities

• Process new applications and re-certifications; provide information to compliance.
• Show apartments to prospective residents.
• Handle lease negotiations and renewals.
• Assist property manager in overseeing leasing and maintenance staff.
• Assist with marketing and leasing activities as requested.
• Maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Assist with rent collection, rent ledger, bank deposits and petty cash records, delinquent rents, evictions, maintaining curb appeal, etc.
• Assist with resident relations and enforcing community rules.
• Other duties as assigned.
