Job summary

Synectics Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate commercial construction projects involving PEMB, concrete construction, and carpentry.

This on-site role in Cedar Rapids, IA focuses on keeping projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have 3–7 years of experience in commercial construction project management, a strong grasp of scheduling, budgeting, and documentation, and the ability to manage multiple trades and

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in commercial construction project management or project coordination.
• Experience with PEMB, concrete construction, or commercial carpentry preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with construction scheduling and project management software.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate commercial construction projects from pre-construction through completion.
• Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and planning.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams across PEMB, concrete, and carpentry trades.
• Monitor jobsite progress, procurement activities, and change orders.
• Maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and schedules.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and progress to clients and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Support field supervisors in resolving project challenges and maintaining timelines.
