Job summary

GROB Group seeks an On-Site Project Manager to coordinate equipment installations at customer sites. The role requires strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, knowledge of prints and schematics, and leadership to manage project teams.

Travel will be primarily domestic with some international trips to interface directly with customers. The candidate should have an associate-level degree or equivalent experience and solid skills in budgeting, communication, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Technology or related field preferred.
• Strong ability to read drawings and schematics, troubleshoot effectively.
• Experience with CNC machining preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate installation activities on equipment delivered from the GROB Group.
• Direct and assist customers during installation, start-up and operation.
• Set up and track project budgets.
• Provide offsite team leadership at customer sites.
• Facilitate issue closure and site acceptance tests.

Education

Associate’s degree preferred in Industrial/Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology

Understanding of drawings, schematics and troubleshooting

Previous CNC machining experience preferred

Excellent leadership and communication skills

Strong math and mechanics understanding

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Job description

This position is responsible for the project coordination of equipment installations at customer sites. The position requires strong mechanical and/or electrical/controls aptitude, an in-depth knowledge of prints and schematics, and advanced skills in metal cutting technology is a plus. This position may require periodic travel during machine installations (mostly domestic, some international) where you will interface with customers directly. The On-Site Project Manager is responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships as well as acting as a project leader for GROB technicians.

• Responsible for supporting the realization of new projects
• Coordinating installation activities on equipment delivered from the GROB Group
• Direct and assist customers on the installation, start-up and operation of equipment
• Set-up and track project budgets
• Provide offsite team leadership at customer sites
• Facilitate open issue closure and site acceptance tests.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Associate’s degree preferred in Industrial/Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or relevant experience in machine tool industry
• Understanding of drawings, schematics and troubleshooting
• Previous CNC machining experience preferred
