Job summary

Schloegel Design Remodel in Kansas City is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to head on-site work with a full team behind you. You’ll own the day-to-day job site, coordinate trades and maintain client communication from start to finish.

You’ll bring five+ years remodeling experience, mastery of rough and finish carpentry, and comfort using Buildertrend. The role offers consistent hours, competitive pay, and a culture recognized as a Best Place to Work.

Qualifications

• Five+ years remodeling experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of rough and finish carpentry.
• Ability to read and understand plans and project documentation.
• Strong client and subcontractor communication skills.
• Comfortable learning Buildertrend.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the day-to-day job site as on-site lead.
• Be the primary homeowner contact during construction.
• Oversee daily progress and perform rough/finish carpentry as needed.
• Manage project schedules with Project Directors to keep projects moving.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and in-house team members.
• Maintain standards for craftsmanship, safety, cleanliness and protection of client’s home.
• Use Buildertrend to keep project information, schedules, communication and documentation up to date.
