Job summary

Genesis Technical Staffing is seeking on-site Project Engineers for positions at Bayway, Ponca City, Borger, Sweeny, Rodeo, Ferndale, Billings and other locations. You will be the on-site liaison between client staff and execution teams, coordinating across engineering, procurement, and construction to ensure timely, safe project delivery.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in engineering or construction management, 5+ years in project execution, and strong communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management.
• Five plus years of project engineer/manager experience in refining, petrochemical, or industrial facilities.
• Strong communication, organization, and relationship management skills.
• Working knowledge of project controls, schedule coordination, and execution planning.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and responsive client service.
• Ability to work independently with remote supervision; field work readiness.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary on-site liaison between client staff and engineering, project management, and support personnel.
• Facilitate communication and issue resolution between refinery stakeholders and offices.
• Support integration of project execution across engineering, procurement, construction, and site operations.
• Coordinate Management of Change (MOC) activities between site personnel and client teams.
• Identify and define new project scope opportunities with client personnel.
• Coordinate field information gathering, site walkthroughs, and scope validation.
• Align project priorities, technical requirements, schedules, and work processes.
• Provide on-site input to improve constructability, operability, and maintenance.
• Monitor interfaces, communicate concerns, and drive timely decisions to minimize delays.
• Participate in client meetings, planning sessions, and scope reviews.
• Maintain strong relationships with site operations, maintenance, engineering, and stakeholders.
• Support safe work practices and coordinate with site requirements.
• Provide regular status updates to client leadership on opportunities and issues.
• Perform as Project Manager for small projects.
