Job summary

State of South Carolina's Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services is seeking staff to assist Probation and Parole Law Enforcement Officers, including non-sworn duties, by monitoring compliance and using technology to manage caseloads.

The role entails compliance monitoring for Standard level offenders, preparing required progress reports and community contacts, and reviewing offender financial obligations and other special conditions of supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/degree (or higher) required or relevant program experience.
• Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for required program experience.
• Experience in criminal justice fields preferred (probation/parole, law enforcement, corrections) or related service work.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance or use technology to manage caseloads for Probation/Parole officers.
• Perform compliance monitoring on Standard level offenders and prepare non-field progress reports and community contacts.
• Review offender financial obligations and other special conditions of supervision.
• Carry out cashier duties in the absence of the Field Office Specialist.
