Job summary

Smurfit WestRock is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to support safe, reliable operations in our manufacturing facility. You will perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production and packaging equipment to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, document work in CMMS, and collaborate closely with production, engineering, and safety teams in a fast-paced industrial

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance in industrial settings.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Familiarity with CMMS or maintenance logging.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and lockout/tagout.
• Willingness to work on-site in a fast-paced plant.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment to minimize downtime.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment status in CMMS or logs.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety teams to plan maintenance.
• Assist with equipment startups, changeovers, and minor installations or upgrades.
• Identify and recommend improvements to maintenance practices and equipment performance.
• Maintain tools, parts, and maintenance work areas in clean, organized condition.
• Support training of operators on basic equipment care and safe operation.
