Job summary

INNIO is seeking a Customer Site Leader to oversee on-site activities from installation through handover at customer sites, primarily in Houston, TX. The role requires coordinating Site Management, Engineering, Commissioning, Validation, and contractors to ensure safe, compliant project execution.

The ideal candidate has engineering or related field credentials, substantial site execution experience, and willingness to travel roughly 90% to domestic and international project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Industrial Management or related field preferred
• Several years of experience in site execution, commissioning, project delivery or engineering coordination
• Experience with engines, generators, gas compression equipment, or comparable industrial machinery

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day on-site activities throughout project execution, installation, commissioning, punch-list completion, and final handover to the customer
• Serve as the primary on-site customer interface, ensuring clear, consistent, and professional communication, aligned expectations, and timely resolution of requests, concerns, and escalations
• Provide functional leadership to site personnel and coordinate the work of Site Management, Engineering, Commissioning, Validation, Material Management, Scheduling, contractors, and other project partners
• Drive cross-functional alignment between Project Management, Service, Engineering, Commissioning, EHS, Quality, contractors, and third-party suppliers
• Maintain oversight across all project phases and multiple engine or equipment workstreams, ensuring installation and commissioning activities remain aligned with project milestones
• Take overall responsibility for safe, efficient, and compliant site operations in accordance with EHS standards and quality expectations
• Coordinate technical issue resolution with Engineering and Project Management, including design clarifications, missing or damaged parts, technical changes, deviations, and execution risks
• Provide leadership oversight of commissioning activities through close cooperation with commissioning personnel
• Lead regular internal coordination meetings and customer site meetings, communicate daily priorities, and follow through on actions, risks, dependencies, and escalations
• Ensure site documentation, progress reporting, punch-list items, and handover records are complete and audit-ready
• Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity
