Job summary

NASA is seeking an Enterprise Reporting Specialist to administer Power BI Enterprise Reporting for OSI FRED, develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs, and manage secure data access. The role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders, data modeling, and experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, and security controls.

The position is on-site within 50 miles of a NASA Center and requires maintaining documentation, SOPs, and end-user training to ensure compliant and scalable reporting solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent).
• 6+ years in Enterprise Asset Management reporting and/or Power BI reporting.
• Experience with application security, authentication methods, and RBAC.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Power BI reporting environments (data modeling, DAX, publishing workflows).
• Hands-on experience with Power BI Data Gateway for on-premises data access.

Responsibilities

• Support NASA’s Enterprise CMMS reporting server and report repository.
• Build custom reports and advanced analytics for end users.
• Develop methods to join disparate datasets for insights.
• Optimize Power BI data models and performance.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs to support strategic decisions.
• Implement and maintain security (RLS/CLS) across reports.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Provide end-user training and maintain documentation.
