Job summary

Soarnol is seeking a Maintenance Reliability Engineer in La Porte, Texas. The role focuses on owning equipment reliability in a hands-on chemical manufacturing setting, working with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering.

Expect a mix of reliability initiatives, field troubleshooting, and supporting reliability projects. Ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing rotating and stationary equipment, with strong knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a chemical plant environment.
• Knowledge of RCFA, RCM, FMEA and asset criticality.
• Familiarity with PS management and MOC processes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues with Maintenance and Operations.
• Improve reliability of rotating and stationary equipment including pumps, seals, bearings, piping, valves, tanks and pressure vessels.
• Investigate recurring failures and develop practical, sustainable solutions to reduce downtime.
• Apply RCFA, RCM, FMEA and asset criticality in maintenance strategies.
• Support MOC activities and capital projects with reliability insights.
• Develop documentation for repairs, replacements and improvements; assist with startup activities.
