Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a chemical plant environment.
• Hands-on experience with rotating and stationary equipment.
• Knowledge of maintenance and reliability best practices.
• Understanding of PSM, RCFA, RCM, FMEA, and asset criticality.
• Ability to work across Maintenance, Operations, Engineering and SHE teams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues alongside Maintenance and Operations.
• Improve reliability of rotating and stationary equipment including pumps, seals, bearings, piping, valves, tanks, and pressure vessels.
• Investigate recurring failures and develop practical, sustainable solutions to reduce downtime.
• Apply RCFA, RCM, FMEA, and asset criticality principles in maintenance planning.
• Support MOC activities and collaborate on capital projects to incorporate reliability requirements.
• Develop documentation for repairs, replacements, and improvements; assist in commissioning and start-up activities.
• Support Process Hazard Analyses, safety audits, and incident investigations as needed.
