Job summary

Truckee Meadows Water Authority in Reno, NV is hiring a Physical Security Technician to join the Security Department. The role maintains and troubleshoots security systems, conducts site inspections, and supports the SMP while protecting critical infrastructure.

The technician will perform maintenance on cameras and electronic locks, configure Genetec systems, respond to incidents, and work with law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant security experience.
• Experience with VMS/CAS platforms.
• Genetec certifications or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and replace security equipment.
• Perform site security inspections and report vulnerabilities.
• Configure cameras and adjust settings in Genetec per directives.
• Support lock devices, audits, and asset tracking.
• Respond to security incidents; coordinate with PSS and law enforcement as needed.
• Adhere to SMP and security policies; ensure confidentiality and safety.
