Job summary
TEKsystems, Inc. in Sparks, NV seeks an onsite Contract Installation Technician to install cabling, field equipment, and control enclosures per NEC and guidelines.
The role involves wiring and programming access control systems, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercoms for clients. You will read blueprints and specs, operate electronic test equipment, and work with TCP/IP networking to troubleshoot issues and ensure correct installations.
Qualifications
- Must have experience with Access Control and Burglar.
- Understanding of the function and design of Alarm Systems.
- Experience with IP addressable security devices.
- Must be computer literate to include advanced TCP/IP networking skills.
Responsibilities
- Install complex security systems including wiring, equipment, and programming of access control, CCTV, and intercoms.
- Read blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs and manuals to install correctly.
- Use test equipment and IP networking to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Plan, organize, and communicate with clients and team to complete jobs.
