Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Client Office Phlebotomist – Out of State at Fort Wayne, IN. This full-time role involves phlebotomy and lab specimen collection for diverse patients, with a schedule Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30am–4:30pm and Wednesday 9:30am–5:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification from a nationally recognized organization or training.
• One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and lab specimen collections per age related standards.
• Provides appropriate post-phlebotomy patient care.
• Identifies need for patient medical assistance and calls code as appropriate.
• Reviews/records refrigerator temperatures and QC/QA records; reports findings.
• Labels specimens and processes per protocols.
• Procures blood specimens from infant to geriatric patients and maintains low recollection rates.
• Follows-up on test results and notifies appropriate staff.
