Job summary

Fidelity Partners is seeking a Phlebotomist to provide on-site specimen collection and clinical laboratory support at FCI McKean, Lewis Run, PA. The role is part-time, on-site, with hours typically 6:00 AM–2:00 PM ET, Monday through Thursday, excluding federal holidays.

Must hold PA phlebotomy certification and CPR, with experience in specimen handling and lab documentation. Compliance with Bureau of Prisons security and onboarding requirements is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid certification to practice as a Phlebotomist in Pennsylvania.
• CPR certification through AHA or Red Cross required.
• Experience collecting, labeling, processing, packaging, and shipping specimens.
• Understanding of lab recordkeeping, quality procedures, infection control, and patient identification.
• Ability to use electronic health records, scanners, and lab equipment.
• Strong professional communication with patients, clinicians, and correctional staff.

Responsibilities

• Receive patients, verify identity, explain procedures, and support clinic flow.
• Collect blood and other specimens using proper safety and patient-care practices.
• Record vital signs and weight when required by procedures.
• Organize and perform laboratory studies and specimen collection tasks.
• Prepare, label, package, and transport specimens per shipping requirements.
• Ensure requests are complete, reports received, scanned, and filed.
