Job summary

Fidelity Partners is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician for the Federal Correctional Institution Berlin in Berlin, New Hampshire. The role supports on-site phlebotomy and lab processes within Health Services, including specimen collection, processing, and documentation.

The candidate must have accredited phlebotomy training, NH certification, CPR, and at least one year of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a correctional setting. Begin within 30 days of award; on-site work only.

Qualifications

• Must maintain valid NH certification as a medical/ lab professional.
• Must maintain current CPR certification through the AHA or Red Cross.
• Formal phlebotomy training through an accredited program or equivalent on-the-job training with 1 year experience.
• Proof of specimen collection, packaging, shipment to labs, and lab records.
• Proof of correctional-setting experience and three reference letters.
• Must pass background checks and begin within 30 days of award.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians by taking vital signs, weight, and entering results into the electronic medical record.
• Organize, schedule, and perform lab studies and specimen collection and processing.
• Collect, label, process, package, and prepare specimens for transport per procedures.
• Verify requests, track reports, notify providers, and file results in records.
• Maintain knowledge of Health Services Manual, procedures, and lab policies.
• Coordinate with labs, ensure CLIA compliance, manage equipment and supplies.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and provide requested reports.
• Maintain privacy and security of medical information and communicate with staff as needed.
