Job summary

Fidelity Partners is seeking an on-site Phlebotomist for FCI McKean in Lewis Run, PA to provide specimen collection and lab support within the Health Services Department and Satellite Camp.

The role requires PA phlebotomy certification and CPR, with responsibilities across specimen handling, patient flow, and documentation in the electronic records system. Schedule is Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM ET, part-time, on-site.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid certification to practice as a Phlebotomist in Pennsylvania.
• Must maintain current CPR certification.
• Experience collecting, labeling, processing, packaging, and shipping specimens to referral laboratories.
• Knowledge of laboratory recordkeeping, quality procedures, infection control, and patient-identification requirements.
• Able to use electronic health records, scanners, standard office applications, and laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive patients, verify identity, explain procedures, and support clinic flow.
• Collect blood and other specimens using safe practices.
• Measure and document vital signs and weight as required.
• Organize, schedule, and perform laboratory studies and specimen collection.
• Prepare, label, package, and transport specimens per requirements.
• Ensure reports are complete and properly filed and scanned.
• Scan results into the EMR and maintain required records.
• Assist with admissions, vaccines, and DNA procedures as assigned.
• Coordinate with reference labs and assist with quality procedures and policies.
• Monitor equipment, perform routine maintenance, and identify supply needs.
• Protect patient information following privacy and security requirements.
