Job summary

Technology Consulting Inc in Warren, MI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for an on-site, contract-to-hire role. The technician will work under a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions, prepare IVs, and assist with inventory management and packaging after pharmacist review.

The position requires high school diploma (GED acceptable), basic computer skills, and good communication. Shift is 1:30pm-10pm with alternating weekends and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Preferred warehousing or distribution inventory experience.
• Certified pharmacy technician licenses, if required by State Board of Pharmacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to learn company product codes and terminology.
• Shift: 1:30pm-10pm, every other weekend, rotating holidays; shift diff offered.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescriptions and prepares IVs under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Enter data into computer system with Billing Supervisor to obtain reimbursement.
• Prepackaging medication for dispensing under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Assist in final check of filled prescriptions and packaging after RPh review, coordinating delivery to customers.
• Maintain inventory practices: receiving/rotating stock, posting lot numbers, expiration dates, assisting in inventory.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe work environment, check calibration/safety/ cleanliness of equipment.
