Job summary

TCI Technology Consulting Inc. is seeking a Pharmacist in Lubbock, TX, on-site for a contract-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will dispense medications, counsel patients, and ensure regulatory compliance with pharmacy standards.

Requirements include a PharmD or equivalent and an active TX license, with experience in compounding infused drugs and home-care drug therapy evaluation. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted TX license.
• PharmD degree required.
• Experience with compounding infused drugs.
• Proven record of evaluating and monitoring drug therapies for home care patients.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Participation and membership in professional societies and organizations is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Shift requirements: 3rd shift - 7 days on/7 days off - 9pm-8 am, hour lunch.

Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns.
• Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law.
• Ensure that the medicines prescribed to patients are suitable.
• Maintain confidential patient records and manage pharmacy files.
• Advise patients about medicines, how to take them, potential reactions and questions.
• Provide consultations on prescriptions and non-prescription medications.
