Job summary

Responsibilities include dispensing medications, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing patient counseling. You will collaborate with physicians and staff, maintain records, and help manage pharmacy operations and inventory.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree (verifiable)
• Licensure: Active Pharmacist license in the state of practice (in good standing)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days
• Schedule: 7 on / 7 off rotation on an overnight schedule

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, prepare, and dispense prescription medications accurately
• Monitor medication compliance/utilization and identify potential medication-related concerns
• Ensure medication handling and dispensing remain compliant with applicable regulations
• Provide patient consultation on medication use, dosing, storage, side effects, and interactions
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient medication needs
• Compound medications as needed and prepare sterile solutions following established procedures
• Support oversight/supervision of pharmacy staff (technicians, clerks, etc.)
• Help maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies
